Melissa Hibbs
Melissa is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. She has worked within primary and secondary education settings, adult justice as well as headspace and community mental health. Melissa has worked with clients with a variety of emotional and/or social and behavioural difficulties including anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, conduct issues, substance abuse, sleep disturbance, adjustment issues, self-esteem, social difficulties as well as trauma and stress related difficulties. Melissa utilises evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Solution Focussed and Motivational Interviewing techniques. She has engaged in further training based on emotion focused processing such as Schema Therapy and will be qualified in the application of EMDR therapy by April 2023. Melissa works with clients of all ages; however, she has a special interest in youth mental health. She is a registered Medicare provider and also sees clients under Victims of Crime (VOCAT) provisions.
